The features I expect:

• installs the latest version of software
• supports 64 bit installs where possible
• strips ads/toolbars/similar stuff
• provides a way to keep the programs updated after installation
• if I can add custom installers to the software, that's a big plus.

Any ideas if such a program exists?

In addition, the best application update-checker I know is SUMo.

There's a few- it really depends on your needs. generally you'll need to install the app to start with, but for a security bent Securia PSI is good. Lifehacker also suggested 2 others in their package manager roundup

Thanks for your quick answer. AT commands are used to connect to modem via a COM port to make a call or send sms. So far in putty, I have saved a session called 'test' with COM5 and speed 9600 and created a batch file with following command in send.bat: plink -load test. Excute commands in putty from batch file. Ask Question up vote 0 down vote favorite. This command works fine via putty serial. I want to send this code from Batch file to Putty. Or other file which automatically make this commands. COM port is: COM14. I am using SAMSUNG as GMS modem. This is connected my PC VIA USB cable. PuTTY command line automate serial commands from file. Firstly I have mananged to connect via the following: PuTTY.exe -serial COM3 -sercfg 57600,8,n,1,N E.g. I have a file called commands.txt with a series of serial commands I wished to be sent. I tried the following however it failed to work: PuTTY.exe -serial COM3 -sercfg 57600,8,n,1,N -m commands.txt Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm trying to automate PuTTY using batch file.
